About Me

Hello, welcome!

It's Makaila, a holistic fertility, birth and postpartum doula, clinical herbalist, and bodyworker.

The heart of my work is rooted in the belief that healing is personal, cyclical, and deeply connected to nature.

I offer care that honours your unique journey and you as the expert of your own body.

My work blends doula support, clinical herbalism and bodywork practices. I emphasize on creating heart-centred, inclusive and trauma-informed care.

At the core, what I do is beyond a career, it is a purpose and a calling. Which shapes every aspect of my life and how I serve my community.

I weave in lived experience as someone who spent years managing chronic health challenges. I understand the frustration of feeling unseen and unsupported.

Along my healing journey, I was lead to herbalism and nutrition which had a profound impact on my well being. By witnessing the direct impact, it encouraged me to expand my understanding on health so I began studying integrative medicine, holistic health and traditional healing practices.

In my educational pursuits, I studied at Pacific Rim College, where I completed a 3.5-year Diploma of Phytotherapy, focusing on reproductive and hormonal health in my clinical hours and chosen courses. I later trained as a holistic doula, deepening my knowledge of birth and postpartum.

I support individuals and families during fertility, birth, postpartum, and reproductive and hormonal health. Whether it's balancing hormones, preparing for conception, navigating pregnancy, or postpartum.

I’m here to walk beside you with compassion and care that honours your whole self—body, mind, and spirit.
